Vietnam Visa Requirements for UAE Residents & Other Nationalities

To apply for a Vietnam visa from Dubai or Abu Dhabi, prepare the following documents:

  • Valid passport (minimum 6 months validity)
  • Two recent passport-sized photographs with a white background
  • UAE Residence Visa & Emirates ID copy or proof of legal residency in UAE
  • Travel details: return flight ticket, and confirmed hotel reservation or accommodation proof
  • Travel insurance (recommended, depending on visa type)
  • Sufficient financial means — bank statements / income proof
  • For certain visa types (e.g. VOA): Visa approval letter (if using Visa on Arrival)
  • Travel history (if requested): previous visas, entry-exit stamps

Visa Processing Time

E-Visa (Standard): Typically 3–5 working days via the official portal
Urgent/Express Option: Available for faster processing via some visa service providers
Visa on Arrival (VOA):Requires a pre-approval letter, which may take 5–7 working days to process through a trusted agency

Visa Validity

E-Visa: Usually valid for 1 to 3 months. It may be issued as a single or multiple entry based on your application
Visa on Arrival Depending on the approval letter, can be up to 90 days, and may support multiple entries.
