Planning to visit the United States for tourism, study, business, or transit? Whether you’re a UAE resident or a foreign national living in the UAE (such as from India, the Philippines, Pakistan, Egypt, Nigeria, or elsewhere), you’ll likely need a US visa before traveling.

Types of US Visas

B1 Business Visa

F1 Student Visa

For students enrolled in US universities, colleges, or language institutes. Requires an I-20 form from the admitting institution.

US Visa Requirements (for All Nationalities in the UAE)

Regardless of your nationality, you will need the following documents to apply for a US visa from Dubai or Abu Dhabi:

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the intended travel date
  • DS-160 online visa application form (completed and submitted)
  • Recent US visa-compliant photograph
  • Proof of financial means (bank statements, salary slips, or tax documents)
  • Travel itinerary and hotel booking (if applicable)
  • Employment verification letter or trade license copy (for business owners)
  • Form I-20 and admission letter (for student visa applicants)
  • Previous travel history (old passports, if available)
